For the past year or so David and I have been renovating our house, tranforming it from a sterile white bachelor pad to an elegant home that even Martha Stewart would be proud of! Most of the work we did ourselves, including the flooring, painting, trim and baseboards, closet doors, light fixtures and ceiling fans. We had to bring in contractors via Lowes to install new appliances, cabinets, countertops, and sink. The central A/C system, not wanting to be left out, decided to die during a very hot July, so we have a new A/C system as well. We also got some new furniture.

Below are some pictures of our efforts. One note: the pictures we took of the kitchen were taken the day before the plumber was scheduled, so the sink is shown without a faucet. We'll update later with new pictures that includes the faucet, a home version of a common steel hose type restaurant faucet.
